Nags Head - Islington

It had taken me some time but I tracked down the original research team. The company seemed to have deliberately made us difficult to track. With some chance encounters and lucky finds I finally arranged the meeting.

"Look Bob, you and I both know that they wont let us back in there"

"He's right, we can't just stroll into the the museum and ask for it back. Besides they've probably moved it by now"

It had been going on like this for some time and the pints were starting to make me impatient.

"Ok ok so we can't get that piece back but we need to understand what happened and to do that we need a sample. Where do we know there's more of it?"

"You have to be kidding!"

"Nope" I shook my head and slammed the tickets down on the table. "I hear the Guizhou province is quite lovely this time of year" I smiled. They stared at the tickets.

A jolt of aching pain. Stiff muscles protest as I stretch and get up. The hunger nearly blacks me out. But there is a me again. Too much watching. Three days in a trance connected with the lives of hundreds of other people. Pushing, pulling, twisting their lives with one goal, to protect them from the conspiracy. I nearly vanished that time became merely a part of those I was watching over. Perhaps it's time I went out and acted in person instead of manipulating things from afar.

It could be worse...

It had been days since Jude had made contact with people who were even vaguely interested in talking to him.

Most of his friends had stopped calling months ago. Some had got sick, some simply couldn't stand their footy team losing every time he came down the pub. Most however, and Jude suspected this was the case for Issac, had just lost his number. Didn't matter anyway, a mobile lasted no longer than 24 hours in his hands and that was when he was really concentrating on it not breaking.

He'd been forced out of his apartment recently because the landlord suspected him of having wild parties, chance'd be a fine thing.

"Oi! Jude" A voice came from the street

Jude stepped over to the window... the pane fell out.
